Brazilians are known for being party people, and I am not different. I grew up in a family where everything was an excuse to gather friends and relatives: birthdays, graduations, weddings, Christmas, holidays, meetings, farewells, coming and leaving. And in all these celebrations there is always a lot of food and drink, of course, which inspired me to produce this series of illustrations in the colorful and cheerful style of Pop Art. Here I used Posca pens (acrylic paint) to cover pages of magazines in order to remove the object from its original context (often advertising of big and famous brands) and give it another meaning, be it political, cultural or simply personal.
